The analyst.

Fifteen years in sell-side equity research — Wall Street Journal Home Run Hitter, twice an All-Star. The job: make rigorous sense of a sprawling record and stand behind a published verdict. Research is evaluation with public accountability — build the model, publish the call, live with the result.

The operator.

CFO seats across technology and entrepreneurship before eleven years as COO of an internationally recognized craft whiskey producer — finance, capital, people, distribution, pricing, facilities. Along the way: president of the Denver chapter of the world’s largest angel investor network, startup mentor, and advisor to early-stage companies from organic wine to enterprise analytics. When workflow gaps slowed us down, I built the missing systems myself: dozens over a decade, several replacing paid software outright.

The builder.

I founded CivixIQ and built a production AI platform that analyzes government meetings end-to-end — same evaluation discipline as the research career, except now I build the analyst. Running it in production, with paying subscribers, taught me what actually separates working AI from a demo: reliable AI is an operations problem, and operators are the people equipped to solve it.

The lane.

My lane is applied AI: reliable, governed systems built on top of existing models. (I’m not a career engineer and I don’t train models; if your problem needs that kind of specialist, I’ll say so in the first meeting.) Every system I ship comes documented to survive me.
